Why Would You Survive?

While we have talked a lot about how to survive, we haven't yet talked about why you would survive. What is so important that you would fight dragons, climb mountains, and drown killer space fish just to come through alive?

Everyone has a number of techniques and tools to survive. But her most important tool is simple: it is a reason.

What is the point in trying to surviving if there is no reason to survive? We are animals and therefore have survival instincts. But those will only take us so far.

Without a true reason to survive, you may as well lie still and wait for the mothership to land directly on top of you.

All the fancy shoes, lush dresses, gorgeous makeup and designer bags in the world would not be enough of a reason for me to prepare for and then survive an apocalypse.

Don't get me wrong: they are grand. I would love a Burberry hobo. But I would not risk my life for one.

My reasons for surviving are many: my family and friends.

Mind you, I will definitely save at least one lovely designer bag. However, I will use it as an efficient addendum to my Go Bag.  It will also have a few small reminders of those I love. During a struggle, I sometimes need a reminder as to why I am struggling. If this is the case during the apocalypse, a laminated photo or two may save my life.

What are your reasons for surviving Anypocalypse? Tell us in the comments!

  1. I think it would just simply be fun to kill off a few zombies and have no rules in doing so. Ahhh the simple life.

  2. lol clearly since MY reasons are shown on the page above (see: reindeer and obnoxious snacker)it would also be awesome to get a little effin payback on whatever destroyed civilization.

  3. Okay, I have to admit that I would definitely enjoy kicking some zed but, that would not be the sole reason. If the zeds were just keeping to themselves being vegetarian or something I wouldn't want to remove their heads or destroy their brains.
